photo: Zoltan B. The Carska Bara marsh covers the area of almost 450 hectares, and it can only be reached on water. The depth is only 80 centimeters, but under the water there is another two meters of mud – the ideal breeding ground for yellow and white water lilies. They are the symbol of this natural reserve, where tourist season opens in May and lasts until the last nice days and until the last migrating birds leave these parts of Europe. |
