Great tectonic upheavals in distant past have left visible traces of bending, torsion, crossing and mounting of sandstone and conglomerate layers of roks of different colors, most visible in the canyon of Boljetinska river. Another interesting characteristic of this reserve is spatial distribution of various associations, which are situated at close range in the small canyon, on Boljetinsko hill and the site known as Greben.
