A significant tourist attraction and a sort of curiosity is the “frozen pit”, which is located on the southeast side of the highest peak of Rtanj. The entrance to the pit is at the bottom of a shallow valley, about 20 meters wide in diameter. The length of the cave is 50 meters, and the entrance is gradually shrinking, until a spacious hall, 15 meters wide and 10 meters high. The bottom of the hall is flat, covered with clay and stone blocks. The internal temperature of the pit is fairly uniform, ranging from -2 degrees Celsius in the summer, to -4 in winter.
